GLEN BURNIE, Md., Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ — VetCentric, Inc., the nation’s largest practice-to-home delivery provider of prescription medications and veterinary therapeutic diets, today announced an affiliation with Elanco Animal Health, a division of Eli Lilly and Company. VetCentric’s prescription management service enables Elanco to expand its reach to veterinarians and pet owners by utilizing VetCentric’s unique veterinary-supportive business model.

The agreement enables VetCentric to offer its partner clinics access to the entire Elanco Companion Animal Health product line, including Comfortis and Reconcile. Comfortis is the first FDA-approved, chewable, beef-flavored tablet that kills fleas and prevents flea infestations on dogs for a full month and Reconcile is a once-daily, chewable, flavored tablet for the treatment of separation anxiety in conjunction with a behavior modification plan.

“Our direct relationship with Elanco is another significant step in our pursuit of offering the highest quality and most comprehensive selection of veterinary products to the practices and clients we serve. This announcement further solidifies VetCentric’s position as the leading provider of home delivery services on behalf of veterinarians,” said Ted Root, President and CEO of VetCentric.

“We’re excited to partner with VetCentric to provide veterinary practices the option of home delivery of our full companion animal product line. VetCentric’s state-of-the-art compliance services, including AutoRefill and dosage reminders, dramatically improve a pet owner’s compliance to their veterinarian’s recommendations. Since compliance is an important aspect in both parasite control and behavior management, we’re confident that VetCentric’s compliance services will achieve our ultimate goal of improving animal health,” stated Shawn McKee, National Sales Manager at Elanco Companion Animal Health.
