Community Health Plan of Washington Selects Perot Systems for Business Process Solutions

PLANO, Texas, Aug. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Community Health Plan of Washington (CHP Washington) and Perot Systems Corporation (NYSE: PER) (www.perotsystems.com) today announced an agreement where Perot Systems will provide technology and business process services to improve the Seattle-based health plan's back-office functions. The scope of services to be managed by Perot Systems includes claims processing, claims adjustments, enrollment, premium billing, and configuration. During the course of the five year contract, Perot Systems will employ its proven technology and methodologies to support CHP Washington in its goal to minimize claims processing time and achieve low administrative costs.

Perot Systems provides experienced payer administration and management service teams, both on-site and through Perot Systems service centers, to help payers manage claims administration. These capabilities can streamline operations and provide such solutions as data verification, claims and encounter processing for claims adjudication and billing, cash management and account reconciliation.
Perot Systems will implement its Xcelys(TM )software solution as the foundation to provide CHP Washington with mailroom and front-end claims processing, enrollment, billing and other payer business process services.
