Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida and Tenet South Florida Settle on Contracts for 15 South Florida Hospitals

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., July 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida and Tenet South Florida today announced an agreement involving 15 Tenet hospitals in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. The contract agreement follows several weeks of negotiations and the two-week extension of an original June 30 contract termination deadline.

BCBSF negotiates contracts on behalf of approximately 413,000 members in the three South Florida counties, in a wide variety of health plan designs, including Medicare and traditional indemnity insurance.
