The Children's Center of Wayne County Appoints Ballantyne as Chief Development Officer

DETROIT, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Children's Center of Wayne County (TCC) is proud to announce the appointment of Nanci Ballantyne as Chief Development Officer.

Ballantyne has a broad range of experience in fundraising and communications for health care, social service, and civic organizations. Most recently she served as the Director of Development for Common Ground, a crisis organization serving Oakland County. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Nanci Ballantyne received a B.S. in communication disorders from Central Michigan University and began her non-profit career as a founding partner of Arts & Scraps, a Detroit organization that recycles business scrap materials into low-cost art supplies for children's programs. In 1989 she joined Barat Human Services (now Matrix Human Services) in Detroit as Director of Development and Marketing prior to moving to Cleveland, OH in 1992.
Her career has focused on raising funds to support organizations that help families to be the best they can be, despite the challenges they may face. As Chief Development Officer, she is enthusiastic about broadening understanding and support of the important programs and services offered by The Children's Center.
