FOOTBALL TEAM LOOKING FOR PLAYERS

RELAY FOR LIFE SET AT CENTERVILLE

CENTERVILLE — Centerville’s first Relay for Life will begin at 6 p.m. July 15 and end at noon July 16 at Centerville High School. Teams of eight to 15 people will camp out and take turns walking around the track. For information: Yasmin Dye, 223-8521 or www.cancer.org.

OUTDOOR SOCCER LEAGUES AVAILABLE

WEST CARROLLTON

— Registration for West Carrollton Soccer Association’s adult outdoor soccer league will begin Aug. 14. The recreational league consists of a co-ed division for ages 18 and older and a men’s division for ages 25 and older. All games will be played at 1, 3 and 5 p.m. on Sundays at the West Carrollton Soccer complex. All skill levels are welcome. Referees are needed for both leagues. BRUKNER CENTER PLANS DAY CAMPS

NEWTON TWP., Miami County — Nature Explorer’s Day Camp for youths ages 10 to 13 will run from 9 a.m. to noon July 25-27 with an overnight adventure at 8 p.m. July 28. Camps are designed to teach young naturalists hands-on scientific techniques through field studies, wild animal visits and interpretive hikes. GOLF TOURNEY PLANNED AT WGC

C’VILLE BOOSTERS PLAN GOLF EVENT

SPRINGBORO — The Sixth annual JAZZ Classic Golf Outing, hosted by Centerville Band Boosters, is set for a 1:30 p.m. start Aug. 16 at Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro. Highlights for this year’s participating golfers include a pizza buffet luncheon, 18 holes of golf, a baby backed ribs or chicken dinner, door prizes, and a chance to win a new car or motorcycle.
