City of Hope Medical Group Will Offer Cancer Services in Antelope Valley Under California Cancer Specialists Medical Group Name
MONROVIA, Calif., Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ — City of Hope Medical Group announced today that it will provide its nationally recognized oncology services to Antelope Valley residents under its parent name, California Cancer Specialists Medical Group. With over 180 physician experts in cancer, California Cancer Specialists opened the first of its free standing community cancer centers in South Pasadena in May of this year. The 22,000 sq. foot facility is the only free-standing physician owned center in Los Angeles to provide comprehensive oncology services in medical, surgical and radiation oncology.
City of Hope Medical Group and Antelope Valley Hospital have previously released their plans to develop a cancer center of similar scope on the campus of Antelope Valley Hospital. With over 250,000 residents in the Antelope Valley region, the Cancer Center would be the first to provide comprehensive physician services within one location.

California Cancer Specialists Medical Group recently signed a multi-year lease agreement with Antelope Valley Hospital to house the interim Cancer Center on the grounds of the AV campus until a new building has been constructed to include the Group’s radiation oncology program.
