WASHINGTON, Oct. 14 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Aging in Place Council (NAIPC) is proud to announce Aging in Place Week 2009, a nationwide celebration of America's seniors. To commemorate this event, groups of service providers across the country are planning educational and entertaining events from October 12 to 18 to help seniors age comfortably and healthfully in their homes.
NAIPC will celebrate Aging in Place Week by launching a new website on Wednesday, October 14 -- www.ageinplace.org. The hope is for the site, designed by American Eagle, to become America's Senior Support Network and help link seniors with services in neighborhoods all across the country.
"Our goal is to provide one-stop-shopping for seniors who have problems and are searching for help," said Marty Bell of NAIPC. "This new site is designed to make it as easy as possible for seniors to find the services they need."
NAIPC is comprised of healthcare professionals, home accessibility consultants, in-home care specialists, interior designers, home remodelers, real estate professionals, insurance providers, elder law attorneys, financial planners, reverse mortgage officers, lifestyle transition servicers, various public and non-profit organizations as well as other providers of innovative products designed to help seniors age comfortably and healthfully in their home.
