MORRISVILLE, Pa., Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Managing Myeloma (www.ManagingMyeloma.com), an accredited multi-supported educational website for multidisciplinary professionals, announces the opportunity for fellows in oncology to win a scholarship to attend the December 2009 American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana. The scholarship includes registration fees, airfare, hotel accommodations, and a per diem for meals.
During the conference, the scholarship winners will participate in an information gathering and reporting activity based on identified poster and oral sessions relevant to multiple myeloma. The articles generated will be published on the Managing Myeloma website.
"The Managing Myeloma Scholarship Program is a great opportunity for fellows to learn more about multiple myeloma, meet colleagues, hold discussions with leading myeloma experts and have their summaries of poster and oral sessions from the conference published to benefit the community of practicing physicians, pharmacists, and nurses not in attendance at this prestigious scientific meeting," said Sheri Sturgis, chief operating officer of MediCom Worldwide, the accredited developer of the Managing Myeloma site.
To apply for the scholarship, fellows must submit a statement summarizing relevant experience or specific interest in multiple myeloma, a brief biography, and a reference from their program director or mentor. Those interested in applying for the program can contact MediCom project manager Megan Kilmer at mkilmer@medicaled.com or call 800-408-4242, ext. 133.
