LifeCare Hospitals Appoints New Executive Vice President of Operations

PLANO, Texas, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- LifeCare Holdings, Inc., today announced that Grant Asay has been promoted to executive vice president of operations for the 19-facility specialty acute care hospital system. As executive vice president of operations he will be responsible for the operations, quality of care and governance of all LifeCare hospitals.
Asay is a seasoned hospital operations executive with more than 22 years experience. He joined LifeCare in June 2006 as senior vice president of regional hospital operations after serving as regional director of Select Medical Corporation. There he was responsible for overseeing the development, management and financial operations of more than 20 long-term acute care hospitals in Ohio and Michigan, and served as CEO of Select Specialty Hospitals in Flint and Ann Arbor, Mich. Asay has also held CEO positions at several community hospitals in Montana, Nevada and Alaska.
Asay earned his bachelor's degree in medical technology at the University of Utah and his master's degree in healthcare administration at the University of Washington.
