Arcadian Health Plans Name Frank Apgar, MD as New Chief Medical Officer

OAKLAND, Calif., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Arcadian Health Plans announced today that Frank Apgar, MD, has been appointed as their new Chief Medical Officer.

Dr. Apgar brings to Arcadian Health Plans more than 19 years of experience in managed care. His previous experience includes: President and Chairman of Bloodsource, Senior Vice President & Chief Clinical Operations Officer at National Imaging Associates, and Senior Medical Officer at Blue Shield of California. Dr. Apgar has also served as a private practice physician specializing in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics and HIV.

Dr. Apgar earned his BA in Zoology from San Diego State University and his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he also completed his fellowship in Internal Medicine.
