Therap Services to Host Conference on Electronic Documentation, Electronic Signatures and Electronic Health Records for the Developmental Disabilities Community

WATERBURY, Conn., Oct. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Therap Services is hosting its 4th annual National Provider Administrator conference in Fishkill, NY February 2-4, 2010. Therap provides electronic documentation and communication services to providers of service to people with developmental disabilities. Therap complies and helps providers comply with HIPAA, ARRA and electronic signature requirements.

Provider Administrators are senior positions such as director of quality assurance, director of nursing, staff development coordinator, executive director, medicaid service coordinator, compliance and house manager in the developmental disabilities community who are responsible for the planning and implementation of Therap system in an agency. Provider Administrators are also responsible for authorizing access to information of staff members, overseeing user activity and maintaining user accounts.

There will be user presentations at the conference. These will include discussions of how Therap is accepted as an electronic signature when dealing with surveyors and audits. There will be discussions regarding use of Therap by family members. Additional sessions will cover policies and procedures regarding deal with protection and advocacy issues.
