Tutogen Medical, Inc. Appoints Terry Hill, MD As Director of Quality Assurance and Quality Control

WEST PATERSON, N.J., July 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Tutogen Medical, Inc., , a leading manufacturer of sterile biological implant products made from human (allograft) and animal (xenograft) tissue, today announced that Terry Hill, MD, has been appointed Director of Quality Assurance and Quality Control effective July 18, 2005.

Dr. Hill will be responsible for directing all aspects of Tutogen Medical’s U.S. quality assurance/quality control functions. This will include oversight of the company’s inspection processes, medical records review and maintenance, quality engineering activities, product complaint handling program, corrective and preventive action systems and internal/external auditing activities. He will also be responsible for the planning and execution of quality improvement programs and associated efficiency/cost reduction goals for existing and future product lines. In addition, Dr. Hill will serve as the Tissue Bank Director for Tutogen’s domestic operations and assist in the areas of tissue procurement and regulatory compliance.

From 2000 to July 2005, Dr. Hill served as a Quality Assurance and Regulatory Inspector for Tissue Banks, Eye Banks, and Organ Procurement Organizations for the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) for the State of Florida. In that capacity Dr. Hill inspected tissue banks throughout the country ensuring compliance with quality assurance protocols, quality control methods and regulatory affairs. In addition Dr. Hill co-authored the revised Florida tissue bank regulations. Prior to serving the State of Florida, Dr. Hill was an instructor of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology at St. John’s River Community College in Orange Park, Florida and Webster Junior College in Ocala, Florida between 1998 and 2000. Dr. Hill holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Spartan Health Sciences University School of Medicine, having received all hospital clerkship training from Yale University School of Medicine hospital system, and he has a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York.
