PMMC Selected By 4 Hospital Systems to Monitor Contracts and Reimbursement

CHARLOTTE, N.C., July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Preferred Medical Marketing Corporation (PMMC), a leading provider of reimbursement monitoring systems, announced today that it has been selected by four hospital systems to monitor their health plan contracts and match services rendered with accurate payment and reimbursement. These hospitals will use PMMC CONTRACT PRO to monitor reimbursement.
One hospital system that selected PMMC for PMMC CONTRACT PRO, Lake Regional Health System, hired PMMC last year to conduct a lost revenue assessment and recovery audit. At yearend, this audit uncovered more than $100,000 in lost revenue. As a result, the hospital brought CONTRACT PRO in-house. The four hospital systems that have signed agreements with PMMC include: * Stillwater Medical Center, a 129-bed, nonprofit, city-owned acute care general hospital serving patients in a six-county area of north central Oklahoma. * Beaufort Memorial Hospital, a 197-bed community hospital that includes 100 board-certified physicians. Beaufort Memorial Hospital is the largest hospital between Savannah, Ga. and Charleston, S.C. * Lake Regional Health System, which includes a 140-bed medical center and a network of clinics, pharmacies and rehabilitation services located throughout the Osage Beach, Mo., region. Lake Regional services are provided by nearly 1,000 employees and 70 full-time medical staff. * Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, a 100-year-old hospital serving Parkersburg, W. Va., that includes 1,450 employees, 200 medical staff and more than 550 volunteers. Camden Clark Memorial Hospital offers a variety of services ranging from Audiological Care to Women and Children Services.
