THE MAIDS Home Services Honors Maryland’s Maria Garcia as 2009 Manager of the Year

OMAHA, Neb., April 21 /PRNewswire/ – THE MAIDS Home Services, the only franchised residential cleaning service to clean for health, announced today that Maria Garcia of THE MAIDS Home Services of Silver Spring, Md., was recognized as the 2009 Manager of the Year this week at the company’s national convention in Omaha, Neb.

The Manager of the Year award is designed to honor the person who most consistently displays exceptional ability in managing a franchise of THE MAIDS Home Services. The winner must excel in areas including team management, sales ability, customer relations, rapport with employees, and work ethic. Garcia was chosen from a field of eight finalists throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Garcia joined THE MAIDS Home Services of Silver Springs in 2005 as operations manager, doing field training, quality assurance and customer contact. She subsequently returned to the franchise’s office, assuming nearly all administrative responsibilities and eventually becoming general manager.

Garcia’s abilities have also given Yentzer the peace of mind to step away from day-to-day franchise operations and retire to North Carolina.
