AFP Introduces General Purpose, Radiographic Systems for Veterinarian and Offers the Broadest Veterinary, Diagnostic Imaging Product Line in the Industry

Posted on: Monday, 25 July 2005, 15:01 CDT

AFP Imaging Corporation (AFPC: OTCBB) today announced that effective immediately, the Company is introducing a complete line of general purpose, x-ray systems and components, designed specifically for veterinary applications. These systems produce and capture large format, up to 14" x 17", images (also referred to as "whole body" images) in either state-of-the-art digital or x-ray film based modalities. DEL Medical of Franklin Park, Illinois will continue to manufacture, on an exclusive OEM basis, the "Universal" and "VetTek" veterinary line of products for AFP's worldwide distribution. The Company will offer eight different systems that range from the most basic starter x-ray system to a very sophisticated, integrated examination table and high frequency x-ray generator. AFP can now provide the veterinarian with a complete radiographic suite.

David Vozick, Chairman of AFP said, "We are extremely pleased and very excited to add new products and continue to grow our veterinary business. The Company now has the broadest veterinary, diagnostic imaging product line in the industry. We look forward to dynamic revenue and profit growth from this sector. This is another example of AFP's commitment to providing essential diagnostic care for veterinarians."

AFP has clearly established, over the past ten years, a leadership role in the veterinary marketplace with our proprietary, dental x-ray systems that are composed of our "Image Vet" x-ray and our "EVA Vet" digital x-ray sensor. A vet can easily create a filmless, clinical environment that encompasses all of the inherent savings, advantages and benefits from this technology. In addition, AFP will offer its ProImage and other Windows based software for capturing, storing, displaying and e-mailing diagnostic images. The veterinary field is in the early stages of transition from analog to digital systems by the more than 26,000 veterinary clinics in the United States. Discretionary spending for sophisticated, companion animal healthcare and diagnostics has become an important part of pet ownership in many parts of the world. Vozick adds, "Although the vast majority of clinics have at least one x-ray room, the fact remains that most of them are still film based and are just starting to consider digital upgrade options. This is a real and important growth opportunity for AFP."

AFP will integrate several different digital recording options into the current line of products. "We appreciate the close cooperation between AFP and DEL Medical for future development of additional features and products for the ultimate benefit of the practitioner, Vozick says. The price points to dealers and end users, for this equipment, has become more affordable for the vet as a result of continuous advances in computers, software application solutions and consumer electronics. These factors continue to favorably encourage the professional's decision to "go digital" with AFP equipment.
