Eclipsys Deploying Sunrise(TM) Advanced Clinical Solutions at Children's Hospital and Health System, Wisconsin

BOCA RATON, Fla., July 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Eclipsys Corporation(R) , The Outcomes Company(R), today announced that Children's Hospital and Health System, Milwaukee, WI, is expanding its use of the Eclipsys(TM) Sunrise Clinical Manager advanced clinical information solution and deploying additional Eclipsys products including Sunrise ED Manager(TM), Pharmacy Benefits Manager, Sunrise Secure Health Messaging(TM), and Knowledge-Based Charting(TM), a comprehensive clinical documentation solution. Implementation is already underway, with the Eclipsys Consulting Group(TM) helping the health system deploy these additional solutions in its flagship facility, the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

Children's Hospital of Wisconsin is the only hospital in the state dedicated solely to the care and treatment of children. It also serves as the only trauma center in Wisconsin devoted to children and is one of only 14 pediatric Level I trauma centers in the United States. It is a major teaching affiliate of the Medical College of Wisconsin and is affiliated with 16 schools of nursing. Several other pediatric education programs also are associated with the hospital. The hospital has used Sunrise Clinical Manager's leading-edge computerized physician order entry (CPOE) and results reporting capabilities since 1999 and has an impressive 98 percent physician adoption rate.
The contract to expand the use of Eclipsys advanced information solutions was signed March 31, 2005.
Children's Hospital is utilizing the services of the Eclipsys Consulting Group during the implementation process to further improve the hospital's clinical workflows. The first phase of the implementation includes an upgrade to the latest version of Sunrise Clinical Manager.
