According to a list of the Most Wired hospitals and health systems published by Hospitals & Health Networks magazine last week, four of the top hospitals have partnered with GetWellNetwork(R) to offer the company's leading interactive patient care platform to their patients.
The 2005 Most Wired list included the following GetWellNetwork clients:
-- Inova Health System, Falls Church, VA
-- Sentara Healthcare, Norfolk, VA
-- Saint Luke's Health System, Kansas City, MO
-- Valley Health System, Winchester, VA
"It's encouraging and empowering to see hospitals and health systems placing an emphasis on incorporating information technology into the care process, as we believe technology can help to transform the quality care experience," said Michael O'Neil, Founder and CEO of GetWellNetwork, Inc. "As hospitals are continually challenged to find new and more efficient ways of delivering on their patient-centered vision, we believe that the software and services that GetWellNetwork provides will enable hospitals to meet their vision objectives."
For the seventh year, Hospitals & Health Networks has compiled their list based on responses to the Most Wired Survey and Benchmarking Study that asks hospitals to report their use of information technology to address five key areas: safety and quality, customer service, business processes, workforce, and public health and safety. The 2005 survey is a joint project of H&HN, IDX Systems Corp., Accenture and the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives. This year, 502 hospitals and health systems representing 1,255 hospitals participated in the survey.
The GetWellNetwork solution is currently used by more than 25 hospitals and health systems throughout the United States. GetWellNetwork provides the PatientLife:)System(TM) which is an interactive patient care platform designed to improve patient satisfaction, enhance patient outcomes and streamline hospital efficiencies. Specifically, the system enhances the patient experience, increases communication within care teams and informs patients about their condition during their hospital stay - all at the bedside via hospital room television monitors. The award-winning software is built upon the PatientPathway:)Architecture(TM), which dynamically launches features within the system to automate clinical and non-clinical processes (e.g., patient education) - helping hospitals deliver a coordinated, cohesive and efficient experience for the patient.
