North Texas' Top Hematology/Oncology Specialists to Speak at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's First Annual Lone Star Blood Cancer Conference

DALLAS, July 29 /PRNewswire/ -- The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society(R) announced today the first annual Lone Star Blood Cancer Conference will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2005 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the American Airlines Training and Conference Center. The program includes educational seminars presented by top blood cancer specialists in North Texas, as well as breakout sessions on disease-specific topics: leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma. Patients, caregivers, social workers and health care professionals are all encouraged to attend the Lone Star Blood Cancer Conference.
Keynote speaker and award-winning author Wendy Harpham, M.D. will be presenting Happiness in a Storm, Facing Illness and Embracing Life as a Healthy Survivor. Dr. Harphram's new book Happiness in a Storm is scheduled to be released in September 2005.
Also included in the speaker lineup are six other reputable oncologists and specialists.
