Dr. Arthur Bartolozzi of University of Pennsylvania Health System's Pennsylvania Hospital Joins VivoMetrics Scientific Advisory Board

VENTURA, Calif., Aug. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Arthur R. Bartolozzi, M.D., Chief of Sports Medicine at The University of Pennsylvania Health System's Pennsylvania Hospital has joined the Scientific Advisory Board at VivoMetrics, Inc. Developer of the LifeShirt System, a non-invasive, light weight garment used to monitor respiratory and cardiopulmonary function, VivoMetrics will benefit from Dr. Bartolozzi's extensive background in sports medicine, especially his experience in the area of clinical development.
In addition to his current position, Bartolozzi holds several others within the University, including that of Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopedics and also serves as Director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship and Co-Director of the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Pennsylvania Hospital. Of continued importance to the development of VivoMetrics' ongoing business strategy are the numerous publications and investigative abstracts and articles that Bartolozzi has authored in the past which bring keen insight to a potential new market for the LifeShirt System.

Bartolozzi has held several positions of notoriety in sports medicine over the years, including serving as the team physician for the Philadelphia Eagles football team and Philadelphia Flyers hockey team. Moreover, Bartolozzi remains the Head Team Physician of the Philadelphia Kixx indoor soccer team, the Rowan University Athletic Program and the West Chester University Athletic Program, and also has participated as Assistant Team Physician for the U.S. National Men's and Women's Soccer Teams. In 2004, Bartolozzi was the venue medical director of Women's World Cup Soccer in Philadelphia.
Academically, Dr. Bartolozzi completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and then completed a fellowship in sports medicine at UCLA where he also served as an instructor in Orthopedic Surgery and Assistant Team Physician.
