EAGAN, Minn., Aug. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, the state's largest health insurer, has launched an all-new web site at http://www.bluecrossmn.com/ . This complete redesign provides easy ways to locate doctor, hospital and drug information and explore answers to health and health care matters.
The home page is designed to make the entire site's organization transparent to visitors and to allow one-click access to the most popular features of the site. For example, the information-rich BluePrint for Health wellness center is accessible from the home page and provides the public a wealth of health information. A provider locator and drug database are also at visitors' fingertips.
For members, the new site has many benefits. In addition to the many publicly accessible resources, members can login to myBlueCross, a password- secured self-service center that enables them to access their private health plan information and records 24 hours a day. There are also self-service centers and resources available for providers, employers, and agents and brokers.
Using the new search function, visitors can enter a key word and locate information quickly. At any time, visitors are only two or three mouse clicks away from answers to their questions. "The new web site is visually designed so it is content-rich yet very easy to find what you are looking for," said Shawn Patterson, vice president of marketing and communications. "Our market research told us what our members and the public care about and we are accommodating that." Visitors are encouraged to explore the new site and provide feedback in the "contact us" section of the site.
