Attend a very special afternoon honoring accomplishment and inspiration with a public viewing party for Cari Trapp, a Wisconsin Northwoods woman who lost over 220 pounds in 18 months naturally and will be featured on an upcoming episode of the nationally-syndicated Dr. Oz Show. Cari will be present in the Lake of the Torches convention center as her featured episode is broadcast from 3 ““ 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19, 2010. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend this free event. Doors open at 2:30pm.
Cari, a Northwoods resident and single mother of three, was a special guest on the pre-recorded Dr. Oz broadcast. On the show taped in front of a live studio audience in New York City, she describes how to get others who struggle with their weight started at home, tips on cravings, metabolism, must have foods, and a secret exercise tip to Dr. Oz’s national audience. Her remarkable journey began with a humiliating visit to the dentist office when she became stuck to the chair while waiting for an appointment. This event triggered her two-year odyssey to change her lifestyle and to become a fitness and health guru.
She will be available for questions and answers from those attending the viewing party after the airing of the show. In addition, a number of weight loss experts, institutions and fitness centers will host informational booths to offer advice on starting an exercise and diet program that would best fit individuals attending the party.
“Cari truly has a remarkable story to tell about how she took control of her own body and gave herself a new lease on life. Cari is an inspiration for anyone who believes they can change their attitude and lifestyle to live a happier and more active life. We would like to invite everyone who has struggled with their weight while balancing motherhood and work to this national celebration with a future star,” said Lake of the Torches’ Director of Marketing Michael J. Broderick.
