Distinctive, Inc. of Timonium, Maryland has already raised over $1200 this past week in donations to the Charity Organization, Operation Smile, beating its original goal of $1000.
Operation Smile is a non-profit service organization that provides cleft lip and palate repair surgeries to children worldwide. To date, Operation Smile has provided reconstructive surgery to more than 150,000 children and young adults in more than 50 countries.
“After hearing about Operation Smile we became extremely motivated to lend a hand.” Eric Chapman, President of Distinctive Inc. says. “We are always keen to support new causes, we want to surpass our goals in every way, and by donating our time and money to causes for those in need, we can help give back and help those that need it.”
After discussion about what could be done to help, Distinctive, Inc. determined that it would be great if they could raise $1000 dollars to donate towards helping fund one of Operation Smile’s missions.
What happened next was amazing. People just took the initiative and started talking about Operation Smile to their family and friends. Many of these people donated. In just one week, Distinctive, Inc. raised over $1200.
“We are all pretty proud not only that the money we raised will go to helping people that need it, but also that we educated many more people on the great work that Operation Smile does.”
After having such a high level of success, the company is now set on raising a total of $2,000 before this year’s end to fund a mission in Peru.
