February 11, 2011

Free embeddable pregnancy videos featuring the living human embryo and fetus are now available to organizations worldwide with subtitle options in 88 languages.

Concord, NH (PRWEB) February 10, 2011

The Endowment for Human Development (EHD) is launching an Affiliate Program featuring free embeddable video clips of the living human embryo and fetus from their award-winning science documentary, The Biology of Prenatal Development. This educational initiative is part of EHD’s strategy to improve health literacy regarding pregnancy and human development before birth. All organizations in the U.S. and Canada with an interest in pregnancy-related education are encouraged to join.

Affiliate members can immediately engage their web visitors with stunning prenatal imagery and earn 10% of any DVD revenue generated by their visitors at EHD’s web store. Alternatively, organizations inside and outside the U.S. can embed these free video clips without enrolling in the Affiliate Program.

EHD’s 14 customizable video clips are offered in more than 200 sizes and 88 subtitle languages with 91 million possible configurations.

The video clips can accompany pregnancy-related news stories or be used to illustrate online pregnancy calendars, articles, prenatal development timelines, online health and science courses, and more. EHD urges leaders of pregnancy-related organizations, health and science educators at all levels, journalists, health and science editors, medical professionals, bloggers, and community leaders to utilize this rare content. Doing so will help them to more effectively reach their target audiences while empowering women and families with vital knowledge about pregnancy.

“Showing these pregnancy videos is one of the best ways to remedy the appalling lack of awareness surrounding the earliest stages of each of our lives, when the seeds of lifelong health and disease are sown,” says Brian Stillwell, M.D., EHD’s president and CEO. “Most people are amazed to see the rapidly growing embryo emerge with all body systems and roughly 90% of adult body parts in just eight weeks.”

“Our first goal is to establish this understanding in large segments of the population, which this Affiliate Program will help achieve. Our second goal is to communicate how a woman’s health and nutritional state, before and during pregnancy, may profoundly influence the lifelong health of her child.”

“Seeing early human development unfold and understanding how pregnancy shapes the health of future generations will forever change how most people view nutrition, environmental safety, pregnancy, and pregnant women. If we can collectively achieve these goals on a broad scale, the positive impact on disease prevention and public health could be incalculable.”
