Fifty Nine Cholera Patients Identified, Four Died in Iran - Health Minister

Fifty nine cholera patients have been identified in Iran. Health Minister [Mas'ud Pezeshkian] said that so far four patients have died of cholera.
Dr Pezeshkian added that medical staff in all Iranian cities are examining all the suspicious cases of diarrhoea and carry out necessary measures.
A Health Ministry official advised that washing hands with water and soap, disinfecting vegetables and fruits before consumption and using safe drinking water are the most important measures to prevent the outbreak of cholera.
He added that person-to-person contagion and using unwashed vegetables have been identified as the most important causes of cholera in Iran.
