Souleotis Promoted to Direct Hospice Program
Aug. 5–LOWELL, Mass. — Kathleen Souleotis, a registered nurse, has been promoted to director of the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice of Greater Lowell. She was most recently assistant director of clinical services at the VNA.
Her new responsibilities include directing operations of the agency’s hospice program. She has been with the VNA for 12 years.
The VNA provides in-home end-of-life care for patients of all ages, and support for their caregivers.
–Marshall-Ben Tisdale, an investment representative at the Westford office of Edward Jones Investments, has won the firms’ coveted Ted Jones Prospecting Award.
The award recognizes first-year investment representatives who achieve high levels of success. It is named for the son of the firm’s legendary founder, who recognized a need to sell securities to individual investors and established the firm’s one-person branch office concept.
Tisdale was one of only two representatives nationwide to achieve this award.
–Olaf Westphalen has been hired as a senior project manager/senior geologist at Watermark Environmental Inc. in Lowell.
Westphalen is a professional geologist and licensed site professional with more than 19 years of experience in hazardous waste site characterization and remediation.
He manages environmental cleanup, assessment and monitoring projects throughout New England. He holds a bachelor of science degree in environmental science with a geology focus from UMass Lowell q The following individuals were recently hired at Butler Bank in Lowell: € Thanh-Tu Le has joined the bank as a credit analyst. She previously worked as an analyst at Bosch Power Tool in Paris, France. She holds a master’s degree in business administration from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Samantha Millier is working at Butler this summer as a marketing associate. She enters her senior year this fall at Colgate University, where she majors in psychology and political science.
–Michael R. Ratty, a Tyngsboro native, has been named director of communications at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
He is responsible for coordinating all of the institution’s external media efforts, as well as publicizing new initiatives and special events.
Ratty previously handled media relations for a Boston radio station, and before that worked in marketing at Putnam Investments. He holds a bachelor’s degree in print journalism from Ithaca College in New York.
–David A. McManus of Marlboro has been promoted to supervisor at Sullivan Bille, P.C., a regional accounting firm with offices in Tewksbury, Boston and Salem, N.H.
McManus has been with the firm for four years as a member of the audit staff. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from UMass Lowell.
