“RVCC’s College of Nursing has started a vibrant partnership with Medical Messenger to prepare New England’s future nurses. Evidence of this effective partnership is reflected by the overwhelming regional support for our graduates and their readiness to start work in the community,” said Vada Aucter MSN, RN, Chair of the Nursing Department at the Claremont campus and the Academic Center at Keene. RVCC’s comprehensive education programs give graduates an edge in an increasingly competitive workforce.

“Doctors and Providers across the country have started managing the changes in their practice as we all progress in this digital world of patient charting. The ability to graduate nurses and med techs that are already trained in an ONC Certified EHR system will be a great advantage for both the doctors and the graduates,” said Mike Hahl, Product Manager of Medical Messenger’s AstralJet EHR system.

The experienced faculty at RVCC are looking forward to advancing into the technical world by using the EHR system. The use of this system will assist the nursing students in the Practical Nursing and Associate Degree Nursing programs by giving them hands-on experience prior to and during their clinical rotations. As a Department they are expecting to have the EHR system in place and ready to use for the fall semester of August, 2011.
