Area’s First Onsite Cardiopulmonary Clinic Opens at Boulevard Health Center

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich., June 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Renowned cardiologist Dr. Samer Y. Kazziha and pulmonologist Dr. Robert Go will be the featured presenters at a reception for the health care community to honor the opening of the Cardiopulmonary Clinic inside Boulevard Health Center/Bradford Medical Resort on Wednesday, June 8th from 5-7pm at Bradford Medical Resort.

Dr. Kazziha, Executive Medical Director of the Cardiovascular Program at Crittenton Hospital Medical Center’s Shelton Heart Center, and Dr. Go, Board Certified Pulmonologist at Crittenton, co-founded the clinic, which is the first of its kind in the region to exist within a skilled rehabilitation and nursing facility.

“The Clinic will greatly enhance the quality of life for those residing at Boulevard and Bradford by providing specialized services onsite, eliminating the need for travel,” said Vicki Elliott, Director of Marketing for the facilities.

The Clinic provides onsite diagnostic testing such as EKGs, PADS and breathing tests for patients who suffer from heart ailments such as congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and coronary artery disease, as well as respiratory ailments such as asthma, emphysema and other conditions. The Clinic also offers patients continuing education on managing cardiopulmonary disease while in-residence at Boulevard and when they return home through the collaborative efforts of Crittenton Hospital Medical Center and Boulevard Health Center.

Dr. Kazziha is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Cardiovascular Disease, the American Board of Interventional Cardiology and the American Board of Endovascular Medicine. He has been recognized for developing cardiovascular programs at several hospitals and is has received awards from the American Heart Association, the American Medical Association and was named one of Hour Detroit’s “Top Docs.” Dr. Go is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine and is the Education Coordinator for Crittenton Hospital Medical Center’s Internal Medicine Residency Program for Pulmonary Disease.

Boulevard Health Center, a 186 bed facility, is a first class sub-acute rehabilitation center providing 24-hour nursing care, rehabilitation services and post surgical care in elegant surroundings. The new Bradford Medical Resort, located on the same campus at 3500 W. South Boulevard, Rochester Hills, MI, offers inpatient, short-term rehabilitation following a hospital stay.
