The Amgen People’s Coast Classic Starts Soon – Riders Still Welcomed

The Amgen People’s Coast Classic Event, September 11 – 16, 2011 starts 30 day countdown to 2nd annual event, space still available.

Award-winning cycling tour operator DuVine Adventures announces today that the 2nd Annual Amgen People’s Coast Classic Event starts on September 11, 2011 ““ just 30 days away.

Organizers of the ride are providing weekly updates for all participants including an introduction video and a comprehensive video outlining Day 2 of the ride available on YouTube. Last minute registrations will be accepted. Follow the event on Facebook and Twitter.

The tour benefiting the Seattle based Pacific Northwest Chapter of The Arthritis Foundation is slated to start at The Columbia River Maritime Museum in Astoria, Oregon at 9:00 am on Sunday, September 11, 2011 and will follow along the official Oregon Coast Cycling Route for six days, ending in Brookings, Oregon on Friday, September 16, 2011. The 2011 ride will also include two day and four day options for those wishing to participate in just a portion of the ride.

For a fundraising commitment of $2,500 per person, or $10,000 for a team of five, riders will receive round-trip transportation to and from the ride to Portland, OR; all hot breakfasts, five gourmet dinners, full mechanical support enroute, support vehicle services, baggage transport, accommodation arrangements and more.

Tai Lee, Director of Corporate Development is most pleased to announce, “The 2011 Amgen People’s Coast Classic will be designed around an exciting stay in Newport, including a visit to Rogue Ales, the opportunity to ride the route with John Maier, Brewmaster at Rogue Ales, a fish fry and party on the beach in Newport and a once in a lifetime opportunity to sleep with the sharks at the Oregon Coast Aquarium.
