Top 10 Medicare plan with excellent NCQA accreditation to implement QNXT System to achieve its targeted business outcomes
Quality Care Solutions Inc., (QCSI(R)), a leading provider of advanced information technology and enterprise application software and services for health insurers and benefits administrators, announced today that Capital Health Plan ("CHP") has selected QCSI's QNXT system and professional services to achieve its targeted business outcomes. CHP, an affiliate of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida and an Independent Licensee of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, is a not-for-profit health plan that provides health care coverage for more than 112,000 members in the Tallahassee, Fla., area.
CHP selected QNXT to administer its Medicare and Commercial HMO lines of business. QNXT will increase automation, and provide the flexibility CHP requires for provider contracting, benefit plans, and accurate and timely reporting.
Eric Smith, chief information officer of CHP, stated, "We needed a system that would not only meet our current needs, but that is also scalable to accommodate CHP's growth. QNXT is the optimum solution for CHP -- a fully integrated application with user-defined rules and a system architecture that will provide us with the flexibility and extensibility to meet our stringent short- and long-term business requirements."
Dave Engert, CEO of QCSI, stated, "Solid, flexible and scalable system infrastructure is critical to all health plans, particularly plans like CHP. We are honored that CHP selected QCSI, a recognized leader in claims platforms, as the platform of choice for CHP's future.
"QNXT will provide CHP with measurable results from a single, integrated, next-generation enterprise application system," continued Engert. "The power of QNXT technology and its ease of use will facilitate CHP's ability to control administrative costs, and allow CHP the freedom to focus its resources on maintaining high standards for member and provider satisfaction, enhancing member services and implementing preventative care initiatives."
