The Burnham Institute Hosts Fourth Annual Gala Dinner to Benefit Arthritis Research

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The Burnham Institute and title sponsor Invitrogen Corporation proudly present "Under the Sea," a gala dinner scheduled for Saturday, October 8, 2005. The proceeds of this event will benefit arthritis research at The Burnham Institute's Infectious and Inflammatory Disease Center. Gala supporters are united in finding new ways to treat, cure and ultimately prevent the suffering caused by arthritis which affects more than 70 million people in the United States alone.
"Under the Sea" will commence at 6:30 PM at the Institute's campus located on the beautiful Torrey Pines Mesa in La Jolla, California. The Burnham Institute's annual gala attracts San Diego's top philanthropists, entrepreneurs, researchers, and community members dedicated to supporting scientific discoveries. Guests attending the black-tie affair will enter a fascinating underwater universe, complete with mermaids, exotic sea life, and amusing entertainment. Guests will enjoy fine dining provided by Jeffrey Strauss of Pamplemousse Grille, dancing, and an exciting live auction.
