I’ve always wanted to own my own boutique. Since I was in high school, I was into fashion and clothing…like most girls. I grew up in Downey, CA which is a far cry from Newport Beach. Spending much of my time at the beach and being into surf fashion, I saw a need early on for an influence of women in the world of surf companies. I remember having to go to 4 different shops to find what I wanted in my size, and at that time the shops were run by guys; not very comfortable for a fourteen year old girl. So throughout high school and the following years I worked in retail and took classes on management, merchandising, small business ownership, and business math. I did anything I could to gain knowledge, not to mention the great hands-on experience I was getting at work. In October of 2003,1 decided to make my dream happen. This was perfect timing because at this point the surf industry was starting to see the impact women were making on a usually male driven environment. My store opened May ist, 2004. We pride ourselves on being able to offer the beach communities their beloved surf brands. We offer a side to women’s fashion in the eyes of a surfer girl, as well as offering some of the most current styles and trends in the fashion world. We sell brands like Joe’s Jeans, Gusto, Free People, Da- Nang, Indah, Triple 5 Soul, Lucy Love, Volcom, RipCurl, Split, and Paul Frank.
