Experts Available to Discuss People With Health Insurance Struggle With Medical Costs

Posted on: Tuesday, 6 September 2005, 18:01 CDT

TOPIC: A survey conducted by USA TODAY, the Kaiser Family Foundation and Harvard School of Public Health found 62 percent of people who struggle with medical costs are insured, according to an article by USA TODAY. Twenty-eight percent of U.S. adults surveyed claimed they have yet to pay for some form of medical care that was provided during the past year. The high price of medical care is resulting in many people, including middle-income families, the working class and patients with chronic illnesses, to go without treatment and/or prescription drugs. The survey consisted of 1,531 participants.
