Sep. 5--HOSPITAL INSTALLS NEW EQUIPMENT: To combat the possibility of injuries among its nurses, North Okaloosa Medical Center recently spent more than $40,000 on state-ofthe-art lift equipment.
The equipment should not only improve working conditions for the nurses, a press release said, but provide greater comfort for patients who are being moved.
A recent study by the Bureau of Labor Statistics found that the national injury rate among nurses is 12.6 per 100, higher than that for auto manufacturing, mining and construction. Web site explains breast procedure

Dr. Ziad Mamish, an endocrinologist and medical director of Sacred Heart Osteoporosis Center, was invited to speak at the Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans.
Mamish spoke about internal medical physicians and endocrinologists on osteoporosis and new treatments for bone disease. He was asked to speak because of his expertise in osteoporosis and his role in helping the clinic establish an osteoporosis center.
He founded Sacred Heart's osteoporosis center in 1997 and is board-certified in endocrinology and metabolism. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Endocrinology.
