Hon. David Bonior, Former U.S. House Democratic Whip, to Moderate Forum on Positive and Negative Labor Relations in the Northern California Hospital Industry

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Hon. David Bonior, former U.S. House Democratic Whip and Chair of American Rights at Work, will moderate a public forum on positive and negative labor relations in the Northern California hospital industry, Tuesday, September 7, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Koret Auditorium on the lower level of the San Francisco Public Library, 100 Larkin Street (at Grove), San Francisco.

The forum will focus on three panels, two detailing the history and progress of industry-leading labor accords at Kaiser Permanente and Catholic Healthcare West, and a third detailing the circumstances of the ongoing labor discord at Sutter Health. All of the panels will address not only workforce conditions, but their impacts upon the patients and communities served by these hospital systems.

Each of the panels will feature caregivers belonging to SEIU United Healthcare Workers - West along with union officers, with the Kaiser and CHW panels also featuring management representatives. The event will be introduced by SEIU-UHW President Sal Rosselli.
