Tai Chi Put in Spotlight

Sessions in the Chinese art of Tai Chi are being held tomorrow in Stockton Sports Centre.
Beginners can have a general introduction to kitchen herbs and Chinese medicine use and the health care system of Qi Gong between 10am and noon. People can also try a range of exercises in a practical demonstration. Admission is pounds 3.50. Experienced Tai Chi practitioners can attend an advanced session between 1pm and 3pm. This will include techniques to balance the body and mind, how to understand the body's rhythm and traditional Chinese medicine. Admission is pounds 10. Call 01642 528528.
Get dancing
TEES Valley Dance is holding weekly dance sessions on Wednesdays from 5pm to 6.30pm in the dance studio of Middlesbrough College's Marton Campus. The first class, for 11 to 18-year-olds, will be held on Wednesday, September 14. For details, contact 01642 525191.
