Country star Trace Adkins was reported in good condition Saturday in a Minnesota hospital where he underwent emergency abdominal surgery.
Adkins had not been feeling well for a couple of days and was taken to the hospital in Morton, Minn., following his concert there Friday night, his publicist said in a release Saturday.
Doctors diagnosed an abdominal inflammatory infection and performed emergency surgery, which was described as a success.
There was no word when the singer might be discharged from the hospital. Tour dates in Spencer, Iowa; Hutchinson, Kan.; Ashland, Ohio; and Centerville, Mich. were canceled.
