Resolution Health Inc. (RHI) Expands Management Team; Healthcare Veteran Alan Wright, MD, MPH, Named Vice President of Product Strategy and Business Development

Resolution Health, Inc. (RHI), a healthcare data analytic and intervention company serving risk-bearing organizations, today announced the appointment of Alan T. Wright, M.D., M.P.H., as Vice President of Product Strategy and Business Development. Dr. Wright will lead RHI's product development and maintenance efforts for emerging and existing products. In addition, he will forge and execute strategic partnerships and alliances to expand and grow the company.

One of Dr. Wright's first responsibilities will be to lead the initiatives to roll out RHI's SMART-Switch(TM) and Direct-to-Member (DTM) communication programs to support effective marketing of Medicare Part D drug programs to seniors. SMART-Switch(TM) is an innovative program designed to reduce healthcare costs by helping consumers switch to less expensive alternative products and services including over-the-counter (OTC) and generic drugs, as well as wellness programs. For Medicare Part D programs, RHI's DTM "Personal Care Note" will help Medicare seniors choose the drug programs best suited for them based upon patient-specific and clinical issue-specific information. As a result, Medicare patients will become more engaged in their decisions about healthcare and drug options, which will reduce unnecessary and inappropriate drug usage and improve their satisfaction levels.

Dr. Wright has served as Chairman of Star Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a generic pharmaceutical company in the urology sector with four prescription drugs on the market and two in evaluation by the FDA.

Prior to founding Star Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Wright was senior vice president and Chief Science Officer of Caremark, Inc., Advance PCS, Inc., and Advance Paradigm, Inc., where he oversaw the strategic development of a wide array of new products in disease management, case management, new population management, specialty pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology.

Dr. Wright's extensive managed care experience includes management positions with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Maryland, Aetna Health Management, Aetna Health Plans of the Mid-Atlantic, Inc., Columbia-Freestate Health System, and Freestate Management Corporation.

Dr. Wright earned his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and his master of public health degree at The John Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the National Board of Medical Examiners.
