Two OK Centers Get Grants to Support Mental Health Services for Indian Communities

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration has awarded seven grants totaling $6.7 million, including two in Oklahoma.
The grants are for three years and will be used to provide tribal and urban Indian communities with tools and resources to design systems to support mental health services.
The Indian Health Care Resource Center of Tulsa Inc. will receive $319,714 per year for up to three years for a system of care to improve services available to American Indian youth who live within the urban community served by the center.
The Muscogee (Creek) Nation Okmulgee will receive $319,714 per year for up to three years for Muscogee Creek Nation Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Services to expand services for children and families living in 10 counties in Oklahoma.
