Alba Therapeutics Corp. Of Baltimore Begins Phase I Trial of Its Celiac Disease Treatment

Alba Therapeutics Corp., of Baltimore, announced that it has begun a Phase I trial of AT-1001, an orally administered drug that is being developed for the treatment of Celiac Disease, a digestive disease, and other autoimmune diseases. Individuals with Celiac Disease are unable to digest gluten, a mixture of proteins found in common food grains such as wheat, rye and barley.
