National Human Genome Research Institute to Help Develop Lifesaving DNA Tests

The National Human Genome Research Institute, a part of the Bethesda-based National Institutes of Health, said it is part of a team of researchers and scientists that will work to develop two molecular DNA tests that could ultimately help save the lives of children born with severe combined immunodeficiency and other primary immunodeficiency disorders
. Other team members are the Jeffrey Modell Foundation, of New York, and Affymetrix Inc., of Santa Clara, Calif.Source: The Daily Record (Baltimore)
