COLUMBIA, S.C., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has approved InStil Health Insurance Company to offer the federal government's new Medicare prescription drug coverage plan (Part D) in South Carolina and Georgia. InStil Health will offer two plans, InStil Rx and InStil Rx Plus.
The Part D plans work with traditional Medicare, with the Medicare Advantage plans offered by InStil Health and as an add on to Medigap supplemental policies that don't cover drugs. InStil Health began marketing its prescription drug plans on Saturday and will accept enrollments as early as November 15 to be effective January 1, 2006.
InStil Health will offer a Medicare Advantage regional preferred provider organization (RPPO) plan called InChoice, with and without drug coverage throughout Georgia and South Carolina (Region 8), local PPO plans in select counties in Georgia and a private fee-for-service plan (PFFS) called InCare that covers all 46 South Carolina counties and 36 counties in Georgia.
"Medicare Part D will offer people who are Medicare eligible a wonderful opportunity to save on their prescription drug costs," said InStil Health President Bob Johnson. "We are pleased to be approved by Medicare to offer the new benefit."
