Product update enables major improvements to day-to-day administrative, clinical and financial processes
LighthouseMD, a leading provider of practice management and clinical solutions to medical groups, today announced that version 5.8 of the CareTracker Practice Management and Clinical system is now available. The new version includes a number of significant improvements to enhance the usability and efficiency of CareTracker, including:
-- Enhanced eligibility verification - The enhanced eligibility verification features will allow operators to check eligibility electronically in two new ways, individual mode or batch mode for almost 300 payers. For payers that still are not providing electronic access - operators can even make notes manually that are then included in future electronic checks. This eligibility sub system integrates completely with the entire CareTracker application.
-- New CodeCorrect option - With this release, CareTracker offers a new option that will allow operators to scrub the procedures and diagnosis against the Correct Coding Initiatives (CCI) in for a batch of visits or charges that were entered through any of the methods available in CareTracker. Easy to understand - red light, yellow light, green light - make it easy for attention to be drawn to services that may get rejected or questioned based on the code selections.
-- New alerts - With the new alerts feature, CareTracker can send relevant alerts to every user of the system. Different levels of messages that can be sent from urgent to informational. This will allow LighthouseMD to better communicate system changes, messages from payers regarding EDI and any other necessary communications. This same alert sub system is available for larger practices to communicate critical information to all their CareTracker users quickly.
-- New patient reports - A new patient reports option produces sets of reports that are similar to the month end reports using Crystal reports logic. These new reports include: patient detail, patient list, primary location and patient export - in HL7 or CSV.HL7 formats. Plus, the patient reports will allow you to select all of your options, name the options, save the options and publish the reports for later retrieval.
-- New statement format with enhanced mail services - Statements have been completely reformatted further simplifying a quick understanding of what the patient owes while minimizing the need for patient to call requesting follow up detail. Plus, the CareTracker print and mail service, now scrubs all addresses to ensure they are deliverable. LighthouseMD has also implemented a new print and mail service feature that will check and automatically fix any forwarded address that may have been provided to the USPS.
-- Real-time Labtrak interface - A real-time interface has been added that will allow the Labtrak lab ordering and results system to submit a request for patient information to CareTracker. CareTracker will then gather the patient information in standard HL7 format and send it back to the Labtrak system.
-- Physicians Clinical Desk Top - Several options were added to consolidate critical information with one click access for the clinicians. These include easier access to chart notes, phone numbers and problem lists.
-- Hundreds of other improvements - As with every release LighthouseMD has also included hundreds of minor changes to streamline existing applications based on client requests.
"This new CareTracker 5.8 release includes new features and improved functionality that will help our clients continue to improve daily practice administration and the quality of patient care," said Steve Tortolani, president of LighthouseMD. "With this increased functionality, CareTracker continues to deliver the innovative and effective tools to help physician practices further increase efficiency and productivity."
CareTracker is made available to physicians in an ASP environment without large upfront investments in hardware or software. The system's Web-based architecture also simplifies deployment for large or multi-site practices and allows practices to accurately budget their technology expenditures.
