LAMBERTVILLE, N.J., Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Advanced Medical Marketing Communications (http://www.advancedmmc.com/) is pleased to announce the hiring of Michael K. Rock, PharmD, as Director, Medical Affairs. Responsible for supporting ongoing client work, Dr. Rock consults with colleagues in developing strategic clinical and marketing initiatives for clients researching new agents in Phase II and III development. In addition, he is responsible for working with the Advanced team in identifying and cultivating new business opportunities.
Dr. Rock is a veteran in the pharmaceutical industry, with 20 years' experience with various pharmaceutical companies and CROs. For the last several years, Dr. Rock has served as Medical Scientific Liaison in Oncology for Chiron Corp., Amgen Inc., and Berlex Laboratories. In these roles he facilitated research trials in leading cancer institutions, evaluating novel approaches for safer, more effective treatments for patients with cancer. Earlier in his career, Dr. Rock was Clinical Research Director at Quintiles, Inc. His experience includes research and development, manufacturing, professional services, medical affairs, and clinical research. Dr. Rock received a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy from Temple University School of Pharmacy, Philadelphia, PA, and went on to complete his doctor of pharmacy degree at Auburn University in Auburn, AL.
