Capital District Physicians' Health Plan (CDPHP) has successfully implemented the AMISYS Advance payer software system, an enterprise-wide and functionally rich application from ASI that provides health plans with comprehensive administrative capabilities.
CDPHP, a health benefits services provider serving 377,000 New York state residents, has recently begun processing claims using the industry-leading AMISYS Advance application. The application supports CDPHP's complete range of insured business, including claims, enrollment, billing, utilization review and call centers.
"As a data-driven organization, CDPHP has always considered AMISYS to be a very highly functional claims processing system," said Raymond Murphy, Senior Vice President, Technology and Operations and Chief Information Officer, CDPHP. "With the recent upgrade to AMISYS Advance, CDPHP's systems now run on an industry standard technology platform that will provide us with the opportunities to improve both the efficiency and effectiveness of our business."
Al Gain, ASI's Vice President of Technical Services, said that the collective dependencies and established goals shared by CDPHP and ASI fostered a strong working relationship that led to a successful implementation.
"This is another example of solid business partnership in action," Gain said. "ASI and CDPHP partnered together with commitment, experience and collaboration to successfully complete the migration to AMISYS Advance."
Though CDPHP performed many aspects of the migration themselves, the company did utilize ASI's Technical Services team for expert migration services, which included completion of environmental set-up, and data migration for core and custom databases. ASI's Technical Services team also supplied on-site migration specialists to ensure success throughout the implementation.
AMISYS Advance delivers high claims first pass rates and provides health plans with the proven architecture required to successfully manage complex processing requirements. AMISYS Advance is part of ASI's broad product portfolio, which includes a uniquely consumer-centric care management system as well as a comprehensive consumer-directed healthcare administration offering.
