European Investments Bank Funds Building of Four New Hospitals

A-Thawra newspaper quoted Deputy Health Minister Dr. Dib Huzayma who said in late September 2005 that the European Investments Bank decided to fund the building of four hospitals in Syria for a total investment of 4 million

. Each of these hospitals will serve a population of 150,000 to 200,000 and will supply about eight hundred new jobs. Each hospital will have an emergency room, a delivery room, an artificial kidney treatment facility, and departments for X- rays and EEG, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology.
