Andante Medical Devices Ltd is pleased to announce the addition of Mark A. Young, MD, MBA, FACP to its Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Young is the Chair, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Maryland Rehabilitation Center WorkForce & Technology Center in the USA. Dr. Young Chair's the Educational Exchange Committee of the International Society of PM&R. Previously, Dr. Young was Associate Chair, Department of Rehabilitation at The New Children's Hospital & the Bennett Institute For Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. Between 1991 and 1997, he was an Attending Physician and Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Director of its Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Inpatient Consult Service. Dr. Young graduated with an MD from The Chicago Medical School and completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/ Montefiore Medical Center in New York. In 2000 he received his MBA from Johns Hopkins University School of Business and Professional Studies.
Dr. Young is the author of several books and chapters on Physical Medicine, reviews and edits several peer related journals and has authored over 30 publications. He is the Founder and Executive Director, TODA-Organization for Disability Access, A National Disability Access Advocacy Group. Dr. Young is a member of several professional organizations and was the past President of the Maryland Society of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
