The Oklahoma City-County Health Department's supply of adult influenza vaccine has been distributed for this year.
No additional shipments of the vaccine are anticipated. A limited amount of children's vaccine remains available.
The public response to this year's influenza vaccine has been impressive, said Paul Dungan, director of the health department. We have a limited amount of children's vaccine available and parents should call ahead to ensure we have vaccine available.
Other sources for a flu shot may still be available in the community, and we would encourage people to check with their personal physician or other sources, he said.
More than 7,000 influenza shots have been given by the health department this season.
