Norwegian American Hospital Names Vice President of Patient Care

CHICAGO, Dec. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Norwegian American Hospital (NAH) announces the appointment of Maribel A. Torres as Vice President of Patient Care.
Ms. Torres brings over 15 years of progressive management experience within the acute healthcare setting to NAH. She has served at several hospitals, including Rush Copley Medical Center where she worked as a Clinical Nurse Manager, and later as Director of Women's Health Services, where she was responsible for Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby, Level II+ Neonatal Intensive Care, and Outpatient Specialty Clinics. Before working at Rush Copley Medical Center, Maribel served as a Clinical Manager at NAH.

Ms. Torres is a Registered Professional Nurse with a Special Certification in Obstetrics. She is a candidate for a Masters of Science in Management and has a Bachelors in Health Care Leadership and an Associates Degree in Nursing. Ms. Torres attended Truman College and National Louis University.
Norwegian American Hospital is a 200-bed acute care hospital on Chicago's near north side. The hospital serves many diverse and gentrified communities including Bucktown, Humboldt Park, West Town, Wicker Park, Logan Square and Austin.
