George W. Foyo to Join Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida As Market President – South Florida

MIAMI, Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida (BCBSF) today announced that George W. Foyo has been appointed Market President – South Florida, effective January 2006. Foyo currently serves as the president and chief executive officer of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, a position he has held since 2004.

In his new role, Foyo will be responsible for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida’s business operations in Broward, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Palm Beach and St. Lucie counties.

Foyo was formerly president and chief executive officer for DirecTV Latin America, and is a 30-year veteran of AT&T, where he served in corporate leadership positions in the United States, Spain and the Caribbean-Latin America region.
