PreferredTime, Inc., a company dedicated to reducing waste in the healthcare system by making interactions between the medical provider and pharmaceutical communities more efficient, today announced that, since September, it has more than doubled the number of medical offices in Georgia that are using its pharmaceutical sales rep coordination service. PreferredTime's service allows medical offices and pharmaceutical representatives to arrange meetings at times and in ways that both parties prefer.
"We are delighted with the reception we have had in Georgia," said Rick Lawson, PreferredTime's Vice President for Medical Groups. "We have seen an extraordinary level of professionalism among medical offices and pharmaceutical reps in Georgia. PreferredTime's service is proving to be an ideal solution for both parties as they seek to increase their efficiency and reduce costs."
In just three months, PreferredTime has more than doubled the number of medical offices in Georgia that use the company's service, from 11 to 24. Additionally, in this same time period, the number of pharmaceutical reps in Georgia using PreferredTime's service has more than doubled to nearly 675. Throughout 2005, PreferredTime has helped to coordinate more than 4,500 pharma rep visits in the Peach State.
Among those medical offices in Georgia that have signed on to PreferredTime are Rome Internal Medicine in Rome, Atlanta Center for Medicine in Decatur, Adult Medicine of Marietta, Piedmont Physicians at Hickory Flats in Canton, The Family Medicine Clinic in Cartersville, Priority Primary Care in Duluth, and Wellstar Internal Medicine in Marietta.
"PreferredTime helps us keep everything under control," said Ralph Jackson, M.D., owner of Priority Primary Care in Duluth. "With PreferredTime, the staff is not distracted and there is no disruption to patient care, but we still have access to the reps and to their valuable information and samples."
Since the national launch of its sales rep coordination service in May, PreferredTime has seen significant interest in the service among medical offices and pharmaceutical sales representatives nationwide. The company now supports medical offices in 36 states. Additionally, there has been a 35 percent monthly increase in the number of pharmaceutical representatives signing up for the service. Today, sales representatives from nearly every pharmaceutical firm are using PreferredTime's service.
The PreferredTime service is available nationwide and is free to medical offices of all sizes. Pharmaceutical representatives can use PreferredTime's Basic service for free or can optionally upgrade to the company's Pro service for $24 a month.
